About The Role:

The Lead Researcher is a critical role in our organization. This employee will be the first stop for incoming customer submissions, responsible for researching each item to verify the accuracy of the submission and ultimately authenticating each item that AMG will stand behind the accuracy of. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive industry knowledge of recorded music (bonus points for other collectible vertical insight) and be able to add experience and depth to AMG’s Operations Team. The individual should be detail oriented, have good organization skills, and be able to focus on research tasks over long periods of time. Our preferred applicant will have one to three years of research experience as a professional, dealer or collector and the ability to work in a positive team environment.

This is a permanent, full-time position as a W-2 employee.


Responsibilities:
  • Research, validate and authenticate customer submissions
  • Interface with customers in the event additional information is needed
  • Help define operations playbook AMG will use as company scales
  • Communicate clearly with the operations staff, and other team members.
Who You Are:
  • First-hand knowledge of CDs, cassettes, vinyl and other recorded music
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization skills to achieve production goals and maximize productivity
  • Ability to work in a positive team environment
  • Detail oriented and ability to focus over long stretches of time
  • 1 - 3 years of direct research experience as a professional, dealer or collector
