Taylor Swift's AMG Population Report: 348 Graded Copies and Counting
Share
Taylor Swift didn't just top the charts — she rewired how collectors chase a record. Nearly every era since 1989 has shipped as a wave of deliberate variants: Record Store Day exclusives, colored and translucent vinyl, numbered limited editions, webstore-only pressings, even a heart-shaped picture disc. None of it is optional for a completionist fan base — each variant is another copy to track down, authenticate, and protect. That strategy shows up directly in AMG's grading queue: we've now graded 348 Taylor Swift items across vinyl, cassette, and CD — more than any other artist we track.
The Numbers Behind the Population
Of those 348 graded copies, 257 are Sealed, 40 are Open, and 51 are Signature Series submissions — a much larger signed population than most artists in our database, which tracks with how many exclusive, hand-signed variants have shipped across her album eras. These numbers are refreshed from AMG's Population Report weekly. For up-to-the-minute totals, use the embedded search table further down this page.
| Format | Graded by AMG |
|---|---|
| Vinyl | 130 |
| CD | 194 |
| Cassette | 24 |
CD is actually the most common format in AMG's Taylor Swift population — a reminder that her fan base spans the CD-buying 2000s and the vinyl-revival 2020s equally hard.
Where the Perfect 10s Live
78 of the 130 vinyl copies AMG has graded — better than 3 in 5 — have earned a perfect AMG 10. That's a strikingly clean population, and it's the opposite story from a title like Nirvana's Nevermind, where decades of turntable time make a true 10 rare. Most of what collectors submit here are recent pressings: Record Store Day exclusives, colored-vinyl variants, and the run of Taylor's Version re-recordings, going from shrink-wrap straight into a slab. Only 11 vinyl copies have graded below a 9.
The Most-Graded Album Might Surprise You
With every Taylor Swift era generating its own wave of vinyl variants, you'd expect a recent album to top the list. It doesn't. AMG's most-submitted individual Taylor Swift title is her 2006 self-titled debut, Taylor Swift — 72 graded copies and counting, spanning original Big Machine pressings, reissues, and the CD era before she was a stadium act. Folklore and The Life of a Showgirl are tied for a distant second at 39 copies each, followed by Reputation at 30 and The Tortured Poets Department at 29 — proof that catalog depth still beats a single record-breaking release.
Six Copies From the Population
Numbers are one thing — actual certified copies are another. Every item AMG grades is searchable by its own HoloID, so here are six real Taylor Swift submissions pulled straight from the record — from her self-titled debut on CD to a webstore-exclusive heart-shaped picture disc.
HoloID 50007052 — Taylor Swift (Self-Titled) — Open CD, AMG 8

HoloID 50002671 — Taylor Swift (Self-Titled) — RSD Crystal Clear & Turquoise Vinyl #/1,250, AMG 10

HoloID 50002090 — Reputation — UPS "#TaylorSwiftDelivery" Promo CD, AMG 9

Catalog BMRC00600A, graded AMG 9 (Near Mint) on April 30, 2024 — proof that AMG will grade the promo novelty items, not just the record itself.

A webstore-exclusive pressing of Lover (Live From Paris) on 2x 8-inch heart-shaped vinyl in a PVC gatefold sleeve. Sealed, catalog B0036417-01, graded a perfect AMG 10 (Mint) on February 20, 2025.
