• Prove It's Real

Counterfeit and misrepresented CDs are more common than collectors expect. AMG's authentication verifies the disc, packaging, inserts, and any autograph — giving buyers complete certainty. Learn more on how to submit.

  • Realize the Value

A sealed, graded CD commands multiples of what the same disc sells for raw. AMG-graded pieces consistently achieve a 6X+ premium on the secondary market.

  • Protect the Packaging

Jewel cases crack. Longboxes crease. J-cards fade. Our sonically sealed, tamper-evident case keeps the packaging in the condition you paid for.

  • Display with Intent

An AMG slab turns a CD into a display piece. Cases are designed to stand on a shelf or mount on a wall — front artwork fully visible through crystal-clear acrylic.

Industry-Leading Slabs

AMG's patent-pending case is purpose-built for music collectibles — not adapted from card grading or coin grading. Sonically sealed and tamper-evident, it makes any tampering immediately obvious, and the case is engineered to hold both standard jewel cases and oversized formats. Once your CD is graded and sealed, its condition is locked in permanently.

Every CD Format Has a Home

Standard jewel cases, slim cases, digipaks, and the highly collectible longbox — AMG cases are designed to hold all of them without modification. Longboxes in particular are among the most sought-after CD collectibles, and our oversized case option is the only graded encapsulation on the market built specifically for them. Display your graded CDs on a shelf or wall-mounted — the full artwork stays visible through all four sides.

Every Format. Every Era.

AMG grades all compact disc formats and pressings. Standard jewel cases, slim cases, digipaks, cardboard sleeves, SACDs, and the iconic longbox — if it's a CD, we can grade it. We also grade signed copies, combining autograph authentication with our standard grading assessment.

CD Grading — Common Questions

Yes — and the market is growing fast. Limited pressings, longboxes, sealed first pressings, and signed copies are all commanding significant prices. A graded CD with a certified condition removes the single biggest friction in the secondary market: uncertainty about what you're actually buying.

First pressings of classic albums, sealed copies, limited editions, longboxes, promos, and autographed copies are all strong candidates.

Yes. AMG is the only grading service with a case purpose-built for longboxes. The longbox format is among the most collectible CD packaging types, and a graded, encapsulated longbox commands a significant premium over raw examples.

Yes. We authenticate autographs on CD artwork, booklets, and cases in conjunction with our standard grading service. The grade report notes the autograph and its authentication status.

Use a small bubble mailer or rigid cardboard mailer. Wrap the CD in a small piece of bubble wrap to prevent movement. Include your printed AMG packing slip. We recommend USPS First Class or Priority Mail with tracking for domestic submissions.
